43004 Amplifier

Soul of Sound 43004 Amplifier

Four channels. 300 watts. 4 ohms.

Developed in 2021 alongside my line-array loudspeaker system, the 43004 was created to provide twelve powerful amplifier channels without turning the electronics into a wall of equipment.

Two stereo Class-D modules provide four 300-watt channels in just two rack units. But the modules were only the starting point.

Four inputs. Four outputs. Two bridged outputs. Behind them, a dedicated analogue front end provides the Anaview modules with a controlled interface, making the amplifier less dependent on the source driving it.

Power and mute are handled by dedicated logic, including Standby / Operate, Mute / Listen, clipping and over-temperature indication. The intention was never simply to put two stereo modules into a box, but to turn them into a complete amplifier.

Sound was only part of it. The 43004 also had to look and feel right. The chassis was designed specifically for the amplifier and precision-machined from aluminium, with a red-anodised body, gold-anodised front panel and matching handles.
Five amplifiers were built by hand in 2021. All five are still in use today — three remain with me, while two continue to serve their original owners.
