Reliable Capacitors has been developing and manufacturing specialist film capacitors for decades. From traditional film/foil designs to advanced multi-section constructions, each range reflects a clear focus on carefully chosen materials, low electrical losses and consistent performance.
For audio applications, the portfolio is centred around four distinct families: AudioCap, AudioCapX, AudioCapX Cu and AudioCap Copper — each following its own approach to materials, construction and performance.

  • AudioCap

    Classic polypropylene & tin film/foil.

    AudioCap represents Reliable’s traditional film-and-foil approach. The Soul of Sound selection focuses on PPT Theta, a long-established polypropylene and tin-foil design for coupling, filtering, power supplies and loudspeaker crossovers.

  • AudioCapX

    The multi-section approach.

    AudioCapX uses a proprietary multi-section construction designed to reduce ESR, inductance and other parasitic effects found in conventional capacitor windings. A distinctive approach for demanding audio, high-current and fast-changing signal applications.

  • AudioCapX Cu

    Copper-metallized multi-section capacitors.

    AudioCapX Cu combines Reliable’s proprietary multi-section construction with copper-metallized polypropylene film. Standard parts are flattened and fitted with radial leads, bringing together the low-loss AudioCapX architecture with a distinctive copper electrode material.

  • AudioCap Copper

    True copper foil, from polypropylene to PTFE.

    AudioCap Copper brings solid copper foil into a range of distinctly different capacitor constructions. From the accessible polypropylene-based PPTCu to the PTFE-based TFTCu and multi-section TFTCuX, the series explores copper without compromise in material choice or construction.
