AudioCapX Cu
The copper-metallized multi-section capacitor.
AudioCapX Cu combines Reliable’s proprietary multi-section architecture with copper-metallized polypropylene film. Rather than using a conventional single winding, several capacitor sections are wound coaxially into one component and internally connected in parallel, reducing effective series resistance and inductance while retaining the practical advantages of a metallized polypropylene capacitor.
What makes AudioCapX Cu particularly unusual is the electrode material itself. The polypropylene film is metallized with copper rather than conventional aluminium, bringing copper into the electrode structure while retaining a metallized-film construction. Standard AudioCapX Cu parts are flattened and fitted with radial leads, while round versions can be produced on request.
The result is a capacitor that brings together two of Reliable’s most distinctive ideas: copper metallization and the AudioCapX multi-section design. Recently introduced and still being expanded, AudioCapX Cu represents one of the newest developments in the Reliable range.
